Background and Rationale
Bangladesh's TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) sector is experiencing transformative changes, led by reforms from NSDA (National Skills Development Authority) and aligned with SDG 4, 8, and 9. A core pillar of this transformation is the outcome-based training model, which demands structured Curriculum and CBLM (Competency-Based Learning Material) development — built upon real industry demands and delivered through standardized frameworks.
Despite rising demand, the sector currently suffers from a shortage of trained curriculum and CBLM developers, especially in alignment with NSDA standards and NTVQF levels. This skills gap affects the quality of training delivery, institutional accreditation, and learner performance.
To address this critical need, YESDI is organizing a 02-Day Workshop on Curriculum and CBLM Development, equipping TVET professionals with essential tools, templates, and practical experience to contribute meaningfully to skills development in Bangladesh.
Objectives
- To develop a pool of trained professionals skilled in TVET curriculum and CBLM development.
- To equip participants with hands-on techniques aligned with NSDA guidelines and NTVQF standards.
- To create capacity for future curriculum consultancy, CBLM writing, and learning material design across institutions and development projects.
- To strengthen institutional readiness for TVET accreditation, quality assurance, and industry-linked training.
